The Journey

“Sometimes the only way to ever find yourself is to get completely lost.”
― Kellie Elmore

It has been several months since my last post- largely due to a break in my design career. I find time such a blessing and helpful to regain perspective and learn. To learn. Its been an intense and amazing journey and on that journey, I have learned to make teas I never knew existed, bake things I didn't know I could, to balance a loaded tray on one hand, to be brave in front of strangers- and most of all- I have learned more about myself and others.

People are so unique and special. Each one has quirks and individualized characteristics that make them who they are. We often forget to look at others and actually take note of this. This point has been the greatest learning experience during this period of time. Some might call it lost- I call it a journey. I believe that these people, myself included, are the reason for design. Design is centred around the user and to reconnect to that aspect is a lesson I am taking with me into the coming projects.

So looking into the future- I am thankful for all the different moments that have brought me to this perspective and now look at the future with an awareness that anything can happen and no matter what- it will be good.

Another month, another new experience...

This month, I was priviledged to have had an internship with Conran + Partners in London! Amazing experiences, many lessons and an inspiring opportunity! It was a once in a life time opportunity and a memory that will last forever. I am so happy to add it to the updated resume!
